Chocolate Chia Seed Pudding

CHOCOLATE CHIA SEED PUDDING

Chia seeds originate from Central and South America and although teeny tiny in size they have a massive amount of nutrient content. No wonder they have been referred to as a super-food for centuries!

A great source of the Essential Fatty Acid Omega 3, they are also high in protein, fiber, vitamins (B family) and minerals (magnesium, zinc, calcium). This makes chia seeds great for the whole body!

I myself prefer chia seeds to be soaked before consuming them (if you ever have had a teeny sucker of a chia seed get stuck between your teeth and then expand you will know why!) so this recipe is perfect. Allowing chia seeds to absorb liquid does in my opinion make it more beneficial for the digestive system and its fiber benefits.

So here it is follks - this is a serve 1 recipe and you can play around with ingredients to suit your own taste buds.

You can use this as an after dinner treat or a breakfast!

This recipe is not only high in protein and minerals from the chia seeds but also antioxidants and minerals from the cacao powder. If you can use a good quality organic powder then even better!
